Robert “Bob” L. Forbes II, 53, of Biddeford, passed away on March 30th, 2020 after a long battle with leukemia. Bob was born in Brunswick on August 19th, 1966 to parents Robert and Lilyan (Petkus) Forbes.
Bob was a very creative man who always had a project or two going. He loved to build stuff and get his hands dirty. He was a very skilled electrician and mechanic. In 2009, shortly before their wedding, he and his beloved wife, Lori, took over PELRECO which was renamed Forbes Refrigeration and Electric. When he wasn’t working, Bob enjoyed working on his 1983 Honda motorcycle, going out to eat with his wife, who he introduced to sushi and Thai cuisine, spending time with friends, gardening and taking care of his Black Lab, Brady, and his two cats JB and Sunny. Bob was a kind and loving man, and a great storyteller, often reminiscing about growing up on a farm with his siblings.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lori Forbes; stepson, Matthew Ladderbush; his four sisters, Thais Forbes-Summers, her husband Mike, and their children, Athena and Elijah, of Tampa, Florida, Tamia Welch, her husband, Bob, and their children Phillip and Jessie of Brunswick, Judith Forbes-Kearns, her husband Fran, and their daughter Merilee of Brunswick, and Rosalee Forbes of Texas.
Per Bob’s wishes there will be no calling hours or service. Instead, please leave a memory on the tribute wall.
