Richard Collette

December 7, 1938 ~ March 14, 2020 (age 81)


Richard P. Collete, 81, of Biddeford, passed away on March 14, 2020 at St.
Andre’s Healthcare. He was born on December 7, 1938 in Biddeford to parents
Donat and Clarinthe (Sevigny) Collette.

Richard grew up in Biddeford and was one of three brothers. He was educated
locally where he learned to be a plumber. After high school he joined the Navy for
a brief period until he was medically discharged. Throughout his life he loved to go
camping at various places, he was always up for a competitive but friendly game of
cribbage or cards, and he also loved going out to breakfast and socializing with his

Richard is survived by his wife Elaine Hanna Collette; his children, Lisa Harding,
and her husband Stephen, Gary Collette, and his wife Kathleen, David Collette,
and his girlfriend Kelly McPherson; step son, Marc Hanna, and his wife Carol; step
daughter-in-law Karen Hanna; grandchildren, Bryce Collette, Noah Collette, Seth
Harding, Aidan Collette, and Chloe Harding; step grandchildren, Jonathan Hanna,
Ashley Cressey, and her husband Eric, Kyle Hanna, and Ella; and his step great
granddaughter Mayu.

Richard his predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Claudette Collette, his step
son, Michael Hanna, and his brothers Robert and Raymond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 178 Elm St., Biddeford, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
