Priscilla C. Lund

July 7, 1941 ~ July 15, 2020 (age 79)

Priscilla C. (Grenier) Lund, 79, of Biddeford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

A lifelong resident of Biddeford, she was born to Raymond “Picky” and Jacqueline (Remillard) Grenier in 1941, and grew up on the Pool Road.

She graduated from Stella Maris, attended Marie Joseph Academy, and graduated from St. Andre’s High School in the class of 1959. After graduating, she was employed by the State of Maine, Canal Bank, St. Andre’s Credit Union, and later Saco Motors where she would meet the love of her life, Craig Lund.

On April 13, 1973, she and Craig married at St. Andre’s Church and honeymooned in the Pocono Mountains. They spent 47 happy years together, and raised two children. They worked together in their businesses: City Square Auto Parts and later at their Dairy Queen, until retiring in 2008.

She often shared fond memories of her younger days on the Pool Road as a self-described tom-boy climbing trees, eating lobster, and bologna sandwiches. She seemed to know everyone, and enjoyed waterskiing at Ossipee Lake with friends and family. Her hobbies included crocheting, plastic canvas, puzzles, LEGOs, league bowling, and was a fierce card player. She always took time out to watch her favorite soap opera, Days of our Lives.

She participated in Relay For Life in recent years, and enjoyed local car racing. She and Craig became close friends with many of the drivers and their teams. The races were a weekly must during the season.

She is survived by her husband, Craig, of 47 years; her daughter, Vicki Thompson, and her husband Tom of Lyman; her son, James, and his wife Heather of Kittery; her beloved brother, Raymond “PeeWee”, and his wife Diane of Biddeford; her “adopted” daughter, Mary Woodsome, and her husband David of Waterboro; and many loved family members and friends.

Priscilla’s family wishes to thank Hospice of Southern Maine for making it possible for her to spend her final days at home. They are wonderful people and terrific care givers.  Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, Biddeford, ME.
