Obituary

Mrs. Pauline L. Paquette, 93, of Biddeford, passed away Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco, with her family by her side. She was born on December 13th, 1927 in Amesbury, MA., a daughter of Xavier and Amanda (Nichols) Cote.

On May 22, 1948 she married Raymond Paquette in St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach.

Pauline treasured her husband Raymond and her family. She was a natural caregiver and happiest when she was able to help her family or someone in need. Her passions were being part of St. Andre's  music ministry with her husband Ray, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She had a way of making each son, daughter, grandchild and great grandchild feel special, as if they were the only one.

Pauline's work life began at the Pepperell  Mills in Biddeford. After returning to school, she was then proudly employed as a social worker with Webber, and Notre Dame Hospitals in Biddeford as well as Southern Maine Medical Center. After retiring from social work she became the seamstress "extraordinaire" at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford until the age of 70.

Pauline volunteered for Meals on Wheels, delivering meals in the Biddeford- Saco area. She was active in the local churches in many capacities, including Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was also involved in St. Paul's Retreat Center in Augusta and the Charismatic Prayer Group. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by:

Her husband: Raymond Paquette

5 brothers: Willy, Rosaire, Roland, Leo ,George

6 sisters: Yvonne, Jeannette, Rita, Irene, Anita, and Lorette

 

Mrs. Paquette is survived by:

2 sons: Normand Paquette and his wife Marietta (May) of Dracut, MA

Michael Paquette and his wife Linda of Old Orchard Beach;

2 daughters: Patricia Roy and her husband Richard of Saco;

Dianne Petrin and her husband Steven of Biddeford.

10 Grandchildren: Jeffrey, David, Mark, Travis, Justin, Alison, Zeri, Marielle,Joshua, and Michelle

9 great grandchildren: Jaxon, Gryphon, Austin, Ethan, Damien, Corinne, Malique, Tanner and Brock

2 Sister-in-Law's: Doris Cote of Biddeford and Margaret (Mickie) Cote of Chicopee, MA

Also, many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Private family services will be held Thursday January 7th, 2021 at Hope Memorial Chapel in Biddeford. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel. To share condolences online, please visit www.HopeMemorial.com.
