Lucille R. Lafortune, 91, of Saco, formerly of Biddeford, passed away on Thursday, July 23,
2020 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Biddeford on
January 25, 1929, the daughter of Alfred and Odina (St. Louis) Moulin. Mrs. Lafortune was
educated locally, attending Biddeford Schools.
On February 3rd, 1951 she married the love of her life Conrad M. Lafortune at Saint Andrés
church in Biddeford.
She worked for 10 years with Bates Manufacturing Company, and 16 years with
Maremont/Saco Defense, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Biddeford Senior Citizens
Club, and enjoyed traveling, knitting, home crafts but, above all her greatest joy was spending
time with her family.
Mrs. Lafortune is survived by her son, Norman Lafortune and his wife Carla of Florida, three
daughters; Doris Luebbert and her husband Kenneth of Florida, Jacqueline Gagne of Saco, and
Ann Lanoix and her husband Richard of Lyman, six grandchildren; Becky, Julie, Christopher,
Beth, Amanda and Andrew, eight great-grandchildren Shiloh, Devin, Chanelle, Téa, Ashlyn,
Sadie, Xander and Henry, and several nieces and nephews; and all of her grand-pets.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband Conrad M. Lafortune in 1993, as
well her three siblings; Aline, Germaine and Paul.
A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford on Tuesday, August 18,
2020 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Gosnell
