Lucille Eon, 90, of Biddeford, died peacefully Tuesday at St Andres in Biddeford. She was born in Biddeford, the daughter of Oscar and Aurora (Collard) Bouthot. She was educated in Biddeford Schools and graduated from St Louis High School in 1949.
She was employed by the Biddeford School System for 48 years. Anyone who knew her knew how much she loved her job; feeding and seeing all the kids and staff at Biddeford High School. The memory of her lives on through her legendary mac and cheese.
She was a devoted Tiger fan and attended football games every Friday night with her late husband, Alexander (Jr,) and followed all of New England sports, especially her Red Sox. She enjoyed many trips to watch Notre Dame football. She also enjoyed going to any casino or bingo hall with her sister. Disney World and the beach with her family were her happy places. She was the matriarch of the family and loved spending time with them more than anything. One of her greatest accomplishments was being a memere and great memere to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was one of a kind, so caring and funny. She genuinely loved everyone.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Alexander Eon, Jr., her parents and brother, Donald Bouthot.
Surviving are her son William Eon of Saco and his wife Kathy; her daughters, Patty (Eon) Googins, her husband Stanley and Sharon (Eon) Reny, her husband Roland of Biddeford; her sister, Claire (Bouthot) Payeur of Biddeford, six grandchild; Marysa, Chelsea, Nicholas, Hannah, Kerry, Haley and six great grandchildren; Brayden, Marianna, Lucas, Anthony, Sierra, and Natalie.
Hope Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with Lucille’s care, and a private graveside service will be held in the spring.
