Obituary

Lorraine Ghislaine (Farrell) O’Brien, 81, of Biddeford, ME, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the Seal Rock Nursing Home in Saco. Born on December 5, 1938 in Biddeford, ME, she was the daughter of Arthur and Lorraine (Vachon) Farrell. She graduated with honors from St. Andre School in 1958.

Lorraine married Richard O’Brien on May 30, 1959 at St Andres Church in Biddeford. Together they raised two children and celebrated 41 years of marriage. In her earlier years, Lorraine enjoyed bowling in leagues at the former Roll-Away Lanes and Lounge in Biddeford. She also spent many hours watching her husband and son compete in various State bowling tournaments. Lorraine loved traveling to Quebec with her husband and often spoke of her time spent in Old Quebec. She enjoyed spending time visiting her parents’ birth place and learning about her heritage.

Lorraine was a passionate and intelligent woman; she dedicated this energy to the Biddeford and Saco areas as a Real Estate Broker. Real Estate was her calling and she prided herself in helping people find the right home. When Lorraine wasn’t changing the lives of her clients, she was spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Lorraine’s legacy is survived by her beloved children, Tamara Berube (Richard) and Michael O’Brien (Margaret) both of Biddeford; two sisters, Elaine Blais and Maureen Cousins, her granddaughters, Alyssa, Ashley, Katie, Kristie and Jenna, 8 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard J. O’Brien in 1999.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020.
