June Dorothy Dubois, of Atlantic Avenue in Biddeford, passed away at home on November 18, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born in Rumford, Maine to Adelard and Leona Tanguay Goulet. She attended St. Andre’s School in Biddeford.
June married Paul Robert Dubois in 1950. While her children attended St. Andre’s School, she was very active in the school’s PFTA. She served as various officers, but probably her greatest accomplishment was to create a huge S&H Green Stamps campaign to buy a station wagon for the sisters of that parish with those stamps. It took a year, many helping hands, lots of negotiation with both a car dealership and the stamp company to make it happen, but to her credit, it did.
During her work life, she worked in several institutional kitchens throughout the community, Components Inc., and a local laundromat. She and Paul ended their work lives by buying and running a grocery/gift store, West Grand Market, in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
She is survived by her son, David, his wife Debbie, their children Kim Arnold and her spouse Tim, son Cohen, daughter Samantha Clark and spouse Cory, and Jessica Dubois. She is also survived by her daughter, Nancy Truman, her spouse Milton and grandchildren Mikel, Katherine and great grandson Kaden. June will also be missed by a niece and nephew, and very special cousin, Andre Goulet.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul, and sister Lorraine Whitten.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no services or viewing at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
