Mrs. Irene G. Lambert, 95, of Biddeford passed away Thursday, March 25th, 2021 following an extended illness.


Mrs. Lambert was born October 10th, 1925 in Biddeford, Maine to the late Edmond Breton and Edwina Derois Breton.  She was educated at St. Andre’s before going to work at York MGF as a crane operator.


She married her husband Maurice Lambert on September 31st, 1946 at Notre Dame de Lourdes in Saco.  She was involved in Ladies of St. Anne 3rd Order of St. Francis.  Irene was a lifelong artist, particularly enjoyed painting murals.  She had a love for music and was an accomplished musician, playing the organ, accordion, and violin.  She also had a passion for composing music.


Along with her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Lambert; daughter Carol Lambert; and brother Laurent Breton.


Irene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edward and Carol Lambert of Lyman;  son-in-law Dennis Golubski; and several nieces and nephews.



Visiting Hours will be Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 from 9:30a.m.-10:30a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday following visiting hours at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford following the Mass.  For those wishing to honor Irene's memory, please consider the donation of a mass in her name.  Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
