Gabrielle Constance Beaulieu, 87, of the Atlantic Heights Retirement Community died on August 8, 2020. Born in Biddeford on September 29, 1932, she was the daughter of Omer and Yvonne Martel. Raised in Biddeford, she was educated by the St. Andre’s Parochial school along with her eight siblings. Gabrielle left school early to join the workforce, she was a member of the Biddeford-Mill Textile Manufacturing team, she remained on their team until she retired in 1995.
Gabrielle married Leo P. Beaulieu in June of 1953, from this union came four beautiful children. Gabrielle was a devoted mother and wife, these roles took the highest priority in her life, she always gave everything she had to her children. She took her children on family camping trips with her siblings, while there she made sure to teach them about the importance of taking time to enjoy the world around them. She challenged them to always be the best versions of themselves.
When Gabrielle wasn’t spending time outside, she spent her time doing jigsaw puzzles and word searches. This constant practice kept her wit sharp. She also enjoyed playing cards, shopping and baking.
Gabrielle was predeceased by her husband in 2010. But her legacy survives in her four children and their spouses; Linda and Fred Roberts, Patsy (Patricia) and Don Abbott, Virginia and Don Cadorette, as well as Steve and Anne Beaulieu; her surviving siblings, Rachel Gendron, Fernand Martel, Jacqueline and her husband Reynald Dion and Charles Martel. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gabrielle was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her absence is felt within the community, her love and friendship will be treasured by those who had the pleasure of sharing those valuable moments with her.
