Mrs. Fernande E. Lizotte, 74, of Biddeford, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 following an extended illness.
Fernande was born December 21, 1946, in Biddeford, Maine to Mr. Donald Beaudoin and Laurette Spenard Beaudoin. She is a graduate of Biddeford High School, class of 1964.
She married Richard Lizotte June 15, 2002.
Fernande was employed at Health Hill Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She later worked at Sweetser Children’s Home in Saco. She retired from Unum in Portland.
She enjoyed pottery and quilting at a young age, but her lifelong passion was sewing. She founded Missy Mae Designz, specializing in a variety of children’s items created by her. She appeared at a number of craft fairs across the state, gaining many loyal customers some of whom lived in different areas across the country. Some requested items were sent to customers living in various parts of the world, even as far away as Australia.
Fernande is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Laurette Beaudoin.
Fernande is survived by her husband Richard of Biddeford; children Christopher Motil (Brianne) of Falmouth, Mass.; Nichole Jackson (Aaron) of Charlotte, N.C.; Geoffrey Motil of Key West, Fla.; Patrick Lizotte (Ashley) of Damariscotta; Constance Lizotte (Greg) of Columbia, Ky.
Grandchildren: Trevon Woodbury, Journey Rucker, Lake Rucker, Keenan Jackson, Logan Motil, Lennix Motil, Kaylin Lizotte, Benjamin Lizotte, and Austin Lizotte. Sister and brother-in-law Constance and Skip Pound of Camden; brother and sister-in-law Roland and Patsy Beaudoin of Saco and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also a “bonus memere” to many children outside the family.
A private graveside service will be held at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel. To share condolences online, please visit www.HopeMemorial.com.
