Elizabeth F. Boston, 92, of Kennebunk died peacefully at the Evergreen Manor in Saco on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Born in Biddeford to Earl O. Hilton Sr. and Hazel Simmons Hilton on January 8, 1928, she was one of four children.
Elizabeth was a Molder for the Rogers Fibre Mill in Biddeford until she retired in 1975. Elizabeth married the late Gail Boston, together they had one daughter, Darlene Severance. Elizabeth was a member of the Mother’s Club in the Kennebunk Lower Village, her goal there was offer support and guidance to the mother’s in her community. This opportunity enriched her life in a similar way that raising her daughter did. Following that enrichment, Elizabeth found comfort and safety in the Advent Christian Church in Kennebunk.
She took the time to enjoy the simple things, she was often known to go on daily strolls through Kennebunk and frequented the Kennebunk Beach, Mother’s Beach and Lord’s Point. She enjoyed activities like knitting and going for long car rides.
Aside from her daughter, she is survived by 2 grandchildren, Todd Severance his husband Dash Padham, Melissa Roy her husband Dan Roy, their children, Austin and Halle Roy; her sister Frances Johnson. As well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and husband as well as her siblings, Phyllis Gavel, Frank Hilton, Earl Hilton Jr. and Doris Horne.
The family would like to take the time to share their appreciation with the staff and residents at the Evergreen Manor who allowed Elizabeth the freedom and comfort to enjoy her final years.
