Dennis F. Stephens, 64, of Biddeford, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in New Jersey on January 19, 1957, son of William and Dorothy (Carroll) Stephens.
After completing high school in 1976, Dennis served his country in the Air National Guard, and later, the U.S. Marine Corps. After leaving the military Dennis was a landscaper along with working at the naval shipyard. Then retiring after working as a member of the US Post Office for 27 years. He was also an active member of the American Legion and VFW. In 1988, he married the love of his life, Lisa (Regina) Stephens. Together, they went on to raise two beautiful and loving children.
Dennis loved to spend time with his family and friends along with his German Shepard Cesar and two playful cats Mugsy and Boots. He enjoyed a good round of golf or going on long rides up the coast with his wife. For many years he enjoyed spending holidays in his home town of Toms River, NJ with family. He was his children’s biggest supporter at their sporting events growing up and you would not see him out of the house without his New York Giants or Yankees attire.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Lisa Stephens of Biddeford, ME; his son Joseph Stephens of Biddeford, ME; His daughter Kathleen Stephens of Saco, ME ; His brother and sister in Law Edward “Ron” Stephens and Margaret “ Peggy” Stephens of Hobe Sound, FL; his brother Kevin Stephens of Whiting, NJ; His Sister in law Linda Regina Rose of Biddeford, ME. His two nieces Diana Rose of Rendo Beach, CA and Michele Houston and spouse Ken Houston of Amston, CT; His nephews, Andrew Rose of Biddeford, ME, and Shane and Cody Houston of Amston, CT.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy (Carroll) Stephens of Toms River, NJ ; His Great Niece Paige Houston of Amston, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrate on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Martha Church in Kennebunk. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Biddeford.
