Bryan Stewart Lombard

October 31, 1966 ~ May 5, 2020 (age 53)

Bryan Stewart Lombard, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Arundel, Maine, surrounded by his family.

Bryan was the son of Wayne Lombard and Carolee Lombard Varney. He grew up with his family in southeastern and coastal Maine, except for a few years when his family moved to the other side of the country, enjoying an adventure in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon) before relocating back home to Maine. Bryan attended elementary and middle schools in Sanford, Maine, and later graduated from Wells High School.

Bryan was a gifted machinist and skilled mechanic, working at numerous manufacturing sites throughout Southern Maine and Southeastern New Hampshire. He was especially proud of his accomplishments working at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Elliot, Maine, where he performed various technical work, and most recently at Whitcraft in Scarborough, where he enjoyed his role on specialized equipment lines, and worked with younger machinists and tradespeople, helping them understand the details and specifics of different aspects of the job.

Bryan loved spending time outdoors and could frequently be found on his off days working on various projects both large and small. He particularly enjoyed rebuilding older machines and recalled with great fondness taking his two young nephews for rides on one of his antique tractors. He also enjoyed fishing and campfires with his many friends. Bryan was always willing to help his friends and family with needed work and was known to have many projects ongoing at one time!

Bryan was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, and great-aunt and uncle, of both Maine and New Hampshire. He is survived by his wife, Donna Lombard of Arundel, Maine, his brother Keyth Lombard of Appleton, Wisconsin, his brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He will be deeply missed and always loved by his family and many friends.

Services will be held at a later date. The family requests that any donations in his memory be provided to Arundel EMT/Fire Department 468 Limerick Rd, Arundel, ME 04046 to honor his lifelong connection to Maine.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Maine Memorial Hospital Center and the EMTs and first responders from Arundel, Maine for their support.
