Obituary

Bradley M. Fletcher, 81, of Biddeford, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Saco on November 21, 1938, the son of  Lewis S. and Della (Cressey) Fletcher.  

Bradley attended Saco Public Schools as a child.   He went on to serve his country for a short time in the US Navy.  After his service, Bradley spent several years as a long haul truck driver;   He went on to became a bus driver, driving for the Wells, Biddeford, and Saco public school systems, retiring in 2008.  

Bradley loved to go on long drives and out dancing with his wife Priscilla, at the Biddeford Eagle’s Club.  HE also enjoyed motorcycling with friends and going on long poker runs. Bradley loved Nascar, and traveled to North Carolina with Priscilla, and took  a lap around the race track at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord.  Bradley loved and had a way with animals, especially wild ones.  He will be remembered fondly for the many friendships he took up with neighborhood birds, chipmunks and skunks.  After his wife passed away in 2009, he took up building birdhouses as a way to pass his time.  

Bradley is survived by his brother Richard Fletcher and wife Bea of Saco, Me., daughter  Debbie Winn-Smith and wife Wendy of North Carolina, son Ed Winn and wife Tina of Kansas, daughter Laurie Jackson of North Waterboro, ME, daughter Robin Porter of Hollis, ME, daughter Megan Fuller and husband Shaun of Arizona, and son Robert Fletcher and daughter Carol Couture.  He has several grandchildren including: Charles Jackson, Jessica Robinson, Paul Merrill, Jaime Foster, Bradley Winn, and Sage Porter, as well as numerous great grandchildren and nieces Diane and Marilyn.

He was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Priscilla (Plante) Fletcher, a daughter Joann Fletcher, great-granddaughter, Jazmyne and companions Doris Chase and Carol Fogg.   

There are no calling hours.  A late Spring/early Summer grave side service will be held.  Family will share this information at a later date. Family would also welcome any donations in his honor be made to:  The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074
