Nancy Marchand, 68, of Biddeford, passed away on November 18, 2019 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on April 12, 1951 in Burlington, Vermont, to parents Fredrick and Arlene (Dunakin) Rougier.
Nancy was a caregiver in every sense of the word. She took great pride in her family and loved being a mom and a grandmother, and was an animal lover as well. Nancy was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for having a big heart. In her early years, Nancy loved her work with children when she owned and operated a daycare in her home. In her spare time she enjoyed and was skilled in sewing and crafts of all kinds, which later lead her to work at So Fro Fabrics.
Nancy is survived by her mother, Arlene Annabelle Rougier; daughters and grandchildren, Deborah Doe, her husband Chris and their children, Christopher, Stephanie and Jasmine of Sanford, ME; Jennifer Beery, her husband Chad and their children Chase and Lucas of Decatur, IL and Heather Gendron, her husband Jeff, children Aliyah and Chloe of Biddeford, ME. Nancy is also survived by her six siblings; Carol Myers, and her husband, David, Suzanne Coleman, and her husband, Ronnie, Joseph Rougier, and his wife, Patricia, Bobby Rougier, and his wife Barbara, Sharron Lowell, and her husband, Roger, and Maryanne Grennon, and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy is predeceased by her father, Fredrick Rougier, and her sister Judy Kemp.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, with a service starting at 5:00pm at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, Maine 04005.
