Marcel Paul Lachance, 89, of Biddeford died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his home. He was born August 24, 1928 in Biddeford, a son of Wilfred and Lydia (Labbe) Lachance and attended local schools and St. Louis High School.
On July 12, 1947 he married Ruth Gertrude Cadorette at St. Andres Church in Biddeford.
Marcel served in the United States Marine Corps in the late forties and early fifties.
He was a self-employed general contractor for most of his working life retiring in 1990.
Marcel was an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed golfing and shuffleboard, here and in Florida where he was considered a shuffleboard “pro”. Being the Guinea Rd. cribbage champion was something he would boast about.

Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Hope Chapel. Burial will be St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements by Hope Memorial Chapel.
