Obituary

Leonard Gauba, 71, of Biddeford died Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home following a long illness.  He was born May 3, 1948 in Hartford, CT to Alphonse and Eunice (Kelly) Gauba and was educated at Manchester High School.

 

Leonard served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a medic.

 

He had been a member of A.A. for almost 21 years.

 

Lenny enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, friends, and grand puppy “Rue”.

 

Surviving are:

          A sister Linda Bower and husband John of Unionville, CT

          A brother Raymond Gauba of Chicago

Nieces and nephews: Laura, Lindsay, Lianne and husband Danie, Gregory and Jeffrey; Great nieces and nephews: Gavin, Anna, Elise, Noah and Judah; a step-great nephew Jackson.

 

Also surviving are his “Biddeford family”: Guy and Caroline Petrin, Crystal Petrin, Christopher Petrin and Rachel Allen.

 

Visiting Hours will 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale in the Spring.  Donations in memory of Lenny may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O.
