James M. "Jim" Coughlin, 75, passed away on June 4, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born in Boston, MA on April 6, 1942 to James F. and Mae E. (Rowe) Coughlin.

Jim joined the Air Force in 1960 after graduating high school.

He enjoyed traveling, boating, carpentry, but most of all he loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.

Jim was predeceased by his mother, father, and several aunts and uncles, including a special Uncle, Francis Rowe "Uncle Frank".


Surviving Jim are:

            his wife, Beatrice A. "Peach" Coughlin of Limerick.

2 Stepdaughters

            Lorna Hart and husband Michael of Brewer.

            Laura Brown and husband Justin of Winterport.

7 Grandchildren

            Erica Jackson and her husband Andrew of Levant.

            Kristi Carney and her husband Brandon of Brewer.

            Kyle Alexander and his girlfriend Molly of Brewer.

            Joshua Hart of Brewer.

            Jessica Hart of Brewer.

            Chelsie Smith and her fiancé Meghan of Bangor.

            Ashley Brown of Winterport.

3 Great Grandchildren

            Madison Carney, Kierra McKinnon, and Kallie McPheters

1 Sister

            Nancy McNamara and her husband David of Meredith, NH.

1 Brother

            John "Jack" Coughlin of Norwood, MA

1 Sister-in-law

            Barbara Ireland and Lester Carlow of Lincoln.

2 Nieces

            Susan Davis, and Colleen Chase

3 Cousins

            Carol Rowe, Richard Rowe, and Ronnie Rowe


A service will be conducted on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta, Maine 04330
