George J. Gott III, 69, of Biddeford, passed away on January 4, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 16, 1950 in Portland to parents
George Jr. and Rita (Miville) Gott, and grew up in South Portland. George graduated from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin and received
a Bachelor's degree.
He was an avid animal lover, always taking dogs and other pets into his care. He also loved reading and going to the movies. George suffered from Multiple sclerosis for many years. He was a wonderful father to his twin girls, Kelly and Kate Gott, of Scarborough and Presque Isle ME, respectively.
Besides his beloved daughters, George is survived by his ex-wife and the mother of his two girls Miriam Leonard, sister Terry Caroul of St. Augustine, FL, and brother Robert Gott of Hamden, ME.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., in Biddeford, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
