Fernande J. Paquet, 92, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Evergreen Manor in Saco. She was born October 15, 1926 in Biddeford, a daughter of Philippe E. and Rosilda (Gagnon) Paquet. She attended St. Andre’s School and was a 1946 graduate of St. Andre’s High School.
Fernande had worked in the family business, Factory Island Meat Market in Saco. Later, with her twin sister, she operated the Ye Sandwich Shoppe on Saco Ave. in Old Orchard Beach for 12 years, retiring in 1983.
She enjoyed reading, and caring for her home. She lived a quiet and pious life. Active in the church, she sang in the St. Andre’s Church funeral choir and attended retreats.
Fernande was predeceased by:
4 sisters: Simone P. Reny (and her husband Philip in 1993), Claire H. Paquet, and Lucille V. Paquet in 2007, and her twin sister Germaine, on April 8, 2018.

Fernande is survived by her nieces and nephews Diane (Kevin) Norby, Jo- Ann (Steve) Church, Michael (Judy) Reny, Lisa (Jerry) Morin, and Albert (Lynette) Paquet and several grand nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be 9:00 -10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7th at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.
