David E. Austin, 49, of Arundel died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House Scarborough, following a lengthy illness. He was born October 16, 1967 in Norway, ME a son of David Lee and Janette (Heikkinen) Austin. He attended Massabesic High School.
David had worked as a Zamboni operator at the Biddeford Ice Arena until being disabled by a stroke ten years ago.
He loved living in the country, enjoying the peace and quiet there and watching the stars and moon, local birds and wild turkeys. He enjoyed movies, especially westerns; watching t.v., shows like Happy Days; and rock and country music.
David recalled pleasant times tubing with Big Chris, being with his sons, having a beer with Uncle Willy, spending time with his sister, eating anything his mom would make, butt breaks with his dog Rocky and being with his cat Baby and his other dogs Whitten and Romo.
David was preceded in death by a sister Lisa Louise Austin who died as a child.

His mother Janette Gray of Arundel, with whom he resided
1 sister and brother-in-law Tina Gray and Chris Couillard of Biddeford
His niece and nephew, Ashley Gray and C.J. Couillard of Biddeford
Step-fathers Raymond Gray and Roger Vallee
Aunt and uncle Marie and Charlie Hill, and uncle Louis booth
