Dear Doug, Holly and Barb,
I'm so sorry and sad for your and our loss. This past year has not been a easy one to say the least. With that said, we can take joy in knowing that there was an enormous love in our family that can never be taken away... not even with death. My heart is with you all right now, and with Kaya, JoJo and My dad forever.
I worked with Kaya at the Press Room restaurant back in the late 70's. She was one of a kind. I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Doug and Holly, Our family is one soul emptier today, but her spirit lives on. I shall miss her laugh, her smile, her stories, our far too infrequent but wonderful talks, and just knowing my cousin Karen was an email away. A part of her is here in my house - a beautiful rock with a lighthhouse and the ocean scene painted on it. . I see it everyday holding our bedroom door open. What a nice living memory of all the many years we spent together at Bay View and family gatherings. I loved her as a sister and I'm grateful for all the times I shared with her. Our deepest sympathies to you both. Susan and Paul

Kaya was a true embassador of goodwill to all who had the good fortune to know her! Working with her was a joy, actually it was hilarious! She will be greatly missed! I hope St. Peter knows what he is in for?
My mom was the most beautiful, amazing person I've ever known. She had the ability to light up a room just by being there. She was kind to everyone, and always had something nice to say. Without her my world is darker and colder, but I know eventually there will be brightness again and it will be brighter than ever because she will be apart of it forever. The night before she passed she had a moment of clarity and said, "I'll always be with you." I know this is true, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm happy that she went in her sleep, and that she knew how loved she was, not just my my father and me, but by all the lives she had touched as well.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Kaya was a lovely lady and I will truly miss her.
Kaya would call me often in the Patinet Accounts dept reg our Patient. Kaya was a joy to work with. what a great loss for SMMC, my deepest smypathy to Doug, Holly, and family.
