Harvey R. “Pops” Paul, Sr., 82, of Biddeford died Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Andre’s Health Care Facility in Biddeford after a long illness. He was born in Whichers Mills, ME on July 13, 1930 a son of Napoleon & Orise Paulhaus Paul. He was educated in Sanford, ME schools.
On January 2, 1950 he married Virginia J. Shaffer in St. Dominic’s Church in Portland.
Mr. Paul worked over 20 years with the Pepperell Mfg. Co. in Biddeford, a few years with Saco Tanning Corp. in Saco and last worked 13 years with Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford as Security Supervisor retiring in 1995. He worked part time as a bus driver for the Biddeford School Department for many years. He worked a few more years as a custodian at St. James School in Biddeford and at the Biddeford Community Center. He finally retired in 2004 due to ill health.
He enjoyed fishing, reading & the Boston Red Sox. He especially enjoyed reading about history and watching the History Channel.
He was predeceased by a daughter Margaret Mary Paul in 1961 and 9 siblings, Raymond, Roland, Robert, Roy, Norman, Alice, Beatrice, Blanche and Doris.

many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Biddeford. The family wishes to thank St. Andre’s Health Care Facility for the exemplary care Harvey received while residing there. They would also like to thank SolAMor Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion and support they provided him during his final days.
