Lorne Peter Gorham, 57, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2012 at Southern Maine Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Salem, MA on November 22, 1954, a son of Francis X. and Lorna W. (Peters) Gorham. He was educated locally and was a 1974 graduate of Thornton Academy.
On December 30, 2006 he married Barbara Caperton in Buxton.
Lorne was the owner of L.P. Gorham & Sons Industrial Maintenance Company in Saco for many years, still doing odd jobs that he could up until his death.
He enjoyed working with his hands fixing heavy equipment and rebuilding motorcycles. Lorne especially loved spending time with his family with whom he was very close.

Visiting Hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hope Memorial Chapel. A 1:00 p.m. funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. I was so very sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family especially his children Mike,Josh,Kayla and Meghan. I know how much he loved them and his grandchildren.
