Jill and David: Was sorely grieved to hear of Uncle Spencer passing on. It was in 1960 the last time I saw him when I was last in Maine and also the last time that I saw David who was small then. I have talked to him on the phone afew time of late. I do keep up somewhat with all of you through Ruthie and Linda. My prayers are with you at this sad time. Love, Barbara

The few times I was able to see my Uncle Spencer he always had a pleasant smile on his face. I always felt loved in his presence. I was pleased to find out the little things about him I never got the chance to know such as he disliked thunder and loved doughnuts! He is in a lovely place now with other members of his family ... In God's loving hands!
I feel blessed to have been able to meet both his children today. They have carried his trait of a warm pleasant feeling when they are in your presence!

When I Am Gone

When I am gone release me
Let me go, I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many beautiful years
I gave to you my love
You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it's time I travel alone
So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by my trust
It's only for awhile that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart
I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen within your heart you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear
And then when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a smile and say
"Welcome Home."

I'm sorry to hear of Uncle Spen's passing. God blessed him in many ways and to have lived to a grand age of 94. One can not ask for any better than that. We will miss him dearly. He is with many family members who passed before him that loved him as much as we did and we will all get to see him again someday. God speed Uncle Spen and may God Bless. We Love You.
