Marguerite Y. Dumas, 78, of Biddeford died Wednesday afternoon, July 11, 2012 at Seal Rock Health Care Facility in Saco after a brief illness. She was born in Hardwick, VT on August 23, 1933, a daughter of Joseph and Eva Rose Bruno Guay and was educated in Biddeford schools and was a 1950 graduate of St. Andre’s High School.
On August 29, 1953 she married Robert A. Dumas in St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford. He died on September 29, 2000.
Marguerite spent many years raising her family. She also worked for 30 years as a receptionist at The Garage, Inc. in Arundel until her illness in February of 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking walks on the beach.
She was predeceased by 4 brothers Norman, Emile, Roland and Camille Guay, 1 sister Lillian Mercier & 1 grandson Francis Robert Dumas.

There will be no visiting hours per her request. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.
