Jeanne Cote Labbe Roberge

Jeanne Labbe Roberge, 83, of Biddeford died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Notre Dame du Lac, PQ, Canada on August 16, 1928 a daughter of Martin and Julie Paradis Cote and was educated in Canada.
On July 15, 1946 she married Fernand Labbe in St. Benoit’s de Packington, PQ. He died on December 1, 1993.
Jeanne moved from Canada with her family to the local area in 1963. Here she worked 5 years with Allied Shoe in Saco, 5 years with Westland Shoe in Biddeford 21 years with John Roberts, Inc. in Biddeford. She last worked for St. Josephs Convent on Pool St. retiring in 1998.
On April 25, 2001 she married Ralph C. Roberge in St. Joseph Church, Biddeford. He died June 24, 2007.
Mrs. Roberge had been a longtime parishioner of St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford and a former member of Council St. Theresa of St. Jean Baptist Society.
She was predeceased by a daughter Danielle Labbe in 1952, 5 brothers, Adelard, Etien, Gerard, Adrien & Robert Cote, one sister Julienne Cote and one grandchild Brian Allie.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel. Donations in Jeanne’s memory may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074 or Friends of Community Action, The Food Pantry, 162 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
