Real "Butch" Boucher

Real “Butch” Boucher, 91, of Biddeford, died Friday at his home with his family by his side. He was born, July 3, 1920 in Biddeford to Alfred and Fedora (Potvin) Boucher and was educated locally.
Real served in the U.S. Army under General Patton. He later spent several years as a long-haul truck driver. Additionally, he worked in used car sales and owned/operated Boucher’s Used Trucks and Boucher’s R.V. Sales & Service in Lyman.
A life-long car fancier, Real known as “The Flying Frenchman” was a stock car racer in the 1950’s at Beech Ridge and other speedways throughout New England. After retirement, he enjoyed R. V. traveling for many years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (LeBlond) Boucher in 1987 and also by a sister, Simone Deschambeault.
Real is survived by his loving wife of two years Linda (Robbins) Boucher of Biddeford; his brother, Roland of Florida;
2 sons: Gary Boucher and his wife Kathy of Lyman,
Richard Boucher and his wife Sally of Green Valley, AZ,
2 daughters: Priscilla Wilmot and her husband David of Saco,
Carol Hall and her husband Joseph of Chicago, IL;
1 stepson: Roger Robbins III of Casco,
4 stepdaughters: Cathy Simmons of Standish,
Jody Budzko of Biddeford,
Amanda Ayotte of Saco,
Wanda Eisenbach of Biddeford,
8 grandchildren: Jacqueline (Wilmot) Raymond,
Vanessa, Suzanne, and Adam Hall,
Lyndsay (Boucher) Vachon,
Kanya (Boucher) Briner,
3 great grandchildren: Steven and Ty Huling,
Per Mr. Boucher’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A private burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005.

Real became a client of mine a year ago and he did have a way about him that you felt you had been friends forever. My condolences to the family, I know that Real will leave a big hole. Rest in peace "buttercup" I will miss you more than I can say.
Real became my grandfather only 2 years ago and I felt his love as if we had known each other for life. I'm gonna miss you!!!
Butch was always a happy and vocal guy when I knew him. May he rest in peace.
