It is with great sadness that the family of Lucille B. Michaud announces her passing on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the age of 84 years. Lucille was predeceased by her parents Edmond Bedard and Alice Gobeil Bedard, by two siblings Aline Bedard and Lorraine Labbe, by her son Roland Michaud, and by Claude C. Michaud, her husband of 59 years and partner in raising a large family in Biddeford. Lucille worked hard to budget her husband’s single-earner wages and did a wonderful job keeping the household organized and creating meals from affordable ingredients; even today, her liver soup, pea soup and fudge are remembered by many. Delighting in family, Lucille treasured special moments with her children, spending time with her sisters and entertaining guests. Lucille loved reading, constructing puzzles, and listening to country music. Ever cheerful, she loved to laugh, sing and share her infectious happiness. In her later years, Lucille developed a special love for musical animatronic toys and wearing outrageous hats and costumes whenever the occasion allowed.
Lucille is survived by her nine children and their spouses: Claudette and Russell Letendre, Ronald Michaud, Robert and Donna Michaud, Annette Lacroix, Denis Michaud, Jeannine and Jim Spiller, Gerard and Kathy Michaud, Joan and Tim Greaton and Richard Michaud. Lucille is also survived by her brother Adrien Bedard and sisters Rita White, Lucienne Sirois and Claire Metayer, 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren ensure that Lucille’s legacy will continue for many generations to come.
