Welcome to the memorial page for

Laurenda "Laurie" Legros

December 27, 1936 ~ July 20, 2017 (age 80)

Laurenda  "Laurie" Legros went home to be with the Lord Jesus last Thursday, July 20th.  She was born in Biddeford on December 27, 1936, to Lucien Roberge and Yvonne Nadeau. She married Hugues Legros in 1957  (who passed in 2005).  Together they have three children, Linda, Daniel, and Susan.

Linda Legros blessed her parents with a granddaughter, Leona Legros. With two other grandsons, Shane and Dallas, Linda and Leona lived with Laurie for many years.

Daniel Legros and his wife Joannie blessed them with two grandsons, Jacob and Bradley; and they blessed her with four great-grandchildren, Mason, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, and Julian, marking four generations.

Susan Legros Hagerstrom blessed them with three granddaughters, Jona-Lynn, Naomi, and Rose.

Laurie is survived by three siblings; Lucienne Landry, Rachel Labbe, and Leo Paul Roberge.

As well as being a better-than- average bowler in her day, Laurie was a whiz at any card game, with "Skipbo" her most recent favorite. She was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella and dedicated many years in support of the Daughters and their Catholic Outreach in the community.  Laurie assisted them in many ways, from completing the smallest of tasks to leading the women on a local and state level as Regent. As Jeanne Violet said, "The Daughters will never be the same without her."

For 30 years Laurie worked for the Good Shepherd Sisters in food service, caring for them with all of her heart. They served her and her family with love and caring for the last weeks of her life, as she prepared to journey Home.
