Jeffrey James Howard, 48, passed away July 23rd at his home in Biddeford, Maine. Jeff was born in Rochester, NH and moved to Maine as a young child. A graduate of Biddeford High School’s class of 1987, Jeff’s proudest accomplishments are his three sons, Justin, Kameron and Tyler.
A notorious ‘Chowdahhead,’ his love of and passion for New England sports was clearly evident by all who knew him. Super Bowl Sunday was a national holiday for Jeff, and his enthusiasm was contagious. If you wanted to find Jeff in his happy place, you needed only to pack your chair and cooler, and head to the beach with friends and family. In his next life, you’ll most likely find him selling coconuts on a white sandy beach in the Caribbean.
Jeff’s first crush was Princess Leah, and since then, a long, long time ago, his love of the Star Wars franchise never waned. On Wednesdays growing up, you could find him at grandma’s for their standing date watching WWF. A classic rock fan, there was seldom a concert in town for which Jeff wasn’t lined up at Bookland for front row seats. May the force be with you Jeffrey James, and may your soul find eternal peace!
Jeff is survived and dearly missed by his mother, Cynthia Shaw and step father Gary Shaw; father James Howard and stepmother Paula Howard; sister Jodie Howard; stepsister Danielle Howard and husband John Berst; wife Lisa Perron Howard; three sons Justin, Kameron, Tyler and stepson Nick Chen; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a galaxy of friends. This vibrant, generous and loving soul will be missed beyond words in this lifetime, but we take comfort knowing he is already in the warm embrace of loved ones who have passed before him.
