Jeannette R. Letourneau, 90, of Saco and formerly of Biddeford, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Seal Rock Health Care. She was born April 25, 1926 in Biddeford a daughter of Albanie and Laura (Grenier) Roy. She was educated locally, graduating from St. Joseph’s High School in the Class of 1945.
On November 22, 1951 she married Jean Paul Letourneau in St. Joseph’s Church.
For forty years she had been employed with West Point Pepperell retiring as a specifications control supervisor in 1988.
Jeannette had been a parishioner of St. Andre’s Parish for most of her life. She was active in parish activities which included donating handmade knitted mittens and hats to St. Vincent de Paul, working on the family life commission, and lector ministry. She had a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayed her rosary daily. She belonged to the West Point Pepperell Supervisors Club.
Jeannette was preceded in death by Jean Paul, her husband of 37 years on March 2, 1989; she was also predeceased by three brothers: Roland Roy, Raoul “Barney” Roy and Marcel “Spike” Roy, and three sisters: Jacqueline “Jackie” Bald, Pauline Pinette, and Germaine “Gerry” Aube.
Surviving are 2 sons:
John Peter Letourneau and his wife, Cris (Strovilas), of Pickerington, OH.
James Paul Letourneau and his husband, Norman Plate, of Kansas City, MO.

Visiting Hours will be 7 PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. The rosary will be prayed at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, April 8th at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
