Gisele Dube Cote, of Saco, Maine, passed away on July 14, 2017 after a long illness. She was born on April 20, 1935 in St. Benoit, Packington, Canada. And was married on May 17, 1954 to Robert Cote also from St. Benoit. In 1960, they moved to Maine where she and her husband Robert (who pre-deceased her in 2000) raised their five children. She worked in the Biddeford mills for 32 years and retired in 1995. Gisele enjoyed her children and grandchildren and loved being “Memere’s taxi” for them. Nothing made her happier (as fate would have it, for the past few years, it was “Grandchildren’s taxi”, transporting Memere). She is survived by her five children eight grandchildren, and three great-granddaughters: Carole (Norman Parisien)-sons Robert and Michael (Kristen) great grand-daughter Gisele; son Ghislain-daughter Michelle (Bill Gallitto) great grand-daughters Grace & Evelyn, and son Eric (Jenna); Renelle (Creed Ray)-son Creed; Colombe (Stephan Connolly)-daughter Michelle; Martine (John Eon)-daughter Victoria and son Alexander. Gisele has 1 brother who predeceased her, Real Dube in 1992, and is survived by 5 brothers: Jean-Guy (Mariette); Gerard (Monique); Viateur (Pauline); Bertho (Ginette); & Laval, and 3 sisters: Marie-Paule (Rene); Fernande & Marjolaine (Norman) and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special and heart felt thank you to her neighbors Pete and Sue for all their kindness and assistance during the difficult years as her illness progressed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005 between the hours of 6-8. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 20th at 12:00 at Saint Joseph's Church of the Good Shepherd Parish on Elm Street in Biddeford.
