Claudette R. Thibodeau, 78, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at Greenwood Center in Sanford surrounded by her family. She was born on May 11, 1938 to Robert and Anna (Cote) Tardif in Biddeford. She attended Biddeford schools and graduated St. Andre High School, class of 1957.
She started working at Beneficial Finance in Biddeford for 2 years. She went to Pepperell Mfg. Co. for 2 years followed by Butler’s Dept. Store for 2 years. She went on to Southridge Living Center where she was a cook before moving on to AVX Tantalum Corp. for 9 years. She then worked at King’s Dept. Store in Biddeford for a short period. In 1990 she started at Sweester Children’s Services as a youth and family counselor.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She loved doing her home crafts and cooking. She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. She also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and her daily walks.

Marc R. Thibodeau and his wife Laurie of Biddeford
1 sister: Nancy A. Hoctor and husband Robert of Biddeford
7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
Visiting Hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January, 13, 2017 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Biddeford.
